Laser Engraving

We have been engraving Trophies, Glass, Signs, Awards and Giftware for over 20 years using firstly a manual pantograph machine and then computerised engraving machines.  Due to a greater variety in the requests we were getting we decided it was time to invest in a laser engraving machine in June 2019 and have spent a great deal of time testing the different materials the manufacturer suggested could be engraved with it.

Glass, Brass Plates, Stainless Steel, Slate, Plywood, Aluminium and certain Leathers have all produced good results.  With this in mind we have carefully chosen a selection of items to stock that not only engrave well but are reasonably priced.

Highly reflective materials like Brass, Aluminium and Stainless Steel are more difficult to laser as they would direct the beam back to its source.  There is a special spray we use on these materials which when heated by the laser source leaves a black mark.

Lasering natural materials like Wood and Leather, for example, can produce wide variety results, not all of them good.  The grain and make up of a piece of wood can cause the wood to burn too much or just engrave deeper into the wood with no real colouring to it.

We also work with a variety of Engraving Laminates which are often used for name plates and signs.

Laser engraving machines are an ideal way for us to create intricate details such as logos with extra fine detail which need to be cut into a material rather than printed onto it.

We are able to offer our customers quality items engraved to our own very high standards at reasonable prices.  We will even do a layout on the computer and print it out for you to see.
